Burglary Near You -Dale Croft Rise

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Dale Croft Rise, this occurred on Wednesday 4th February between 1850hrs and 1915hrs and the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry. 

BETWEEN TIMES ON DATE STATED UNKNOWN SUSPECTS HAVE FORCED ENTRY TO REAR OF PROPERTY VIA LOCK SNAPPING. UNTIDY SEARCH OF UPSTAIRS TO THE PROPERTY HAS BEEN CONDUCTED AND ASIAN GOLD/JEWELLERY HAVE BEEN TARGETTED. SUSPECTS HAVE THEN EXITED PROPERTY VIA THE FRONT DOOR DUE TO LOCK BEING OPENABLE FROM INSIDE. SUSPECTS HAVE THEN MADE OFF IN A BLACK BMW ON PLATES BELIEVED TO BE CLONED.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between 1800hrs and 1900hrs to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
